Large-machine planning range

Published used excavators in the 40 tonne plus reference range.

This group contains published units whose model reference-weight midpoint is 40 tonnes or more. It is a discovery page for large-machine candidates, not proof of actual stock-unit weight, transport configuration or job capability.

Important: this is a model reference range, not a measured machine weight.

Classification uses the midpoint of each published model reference-weight range only to create one navigation group per listing. It is not the actual operating or shipping weight of that stock unit. Machines without a reference are excluded. Before transport, request measured dimensions and weight for the exact machine and shipping configuration.

What must be established for a 40 tonne plus candidate?

Large excavators may enter discussions for major earthmoving, quarry, mining or heavy construction work, but the range name cannot confirm production or safe suitability. Define material, required reach and depth, loading target, attachment, ground conditions, support and site restrictions first.

Compare exact model and configuration sources, then request evidence for the individual stock unit. A family reference may not match a regional or modified machine.

Why should transport be planned before commercial commitment?

Large-machine transport may require component removal, specialized inland movement, route checks and different ocean-shipping options. Obtain measured dimensions, shipping weight, center-of-gravity or lifting information when required, and the exact list of travelling parts.

Ask a forwarder to define preparation, cranes or loading responsibility, loose-parts packing, port handling and destination requirements. No freight method or cost is guaranteed by the tonnage label.

Review the used excavator shipping process and quotation inputs.

How should evidence scale with a large machine?

Plan evidence for identity, engine and cooling observations, hydraulics under agreed functions, slew and travel, final drives, undercarriage wear points, cylinders, linkage, boom-arm-frame structures, counterweight and attachments.

A visit, machine test, video inspection or video call can document selected checks. The record should state what was tested, what was observed and what remained inaccessible or unverified.

Plan a stock-specific inspection, yard visit or video verification.
